Job description

This position requires direction for the organization’s overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, and product development. The Director of Supply Chain reports and works closely with the President and Executive Vice President.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Responsible for managing Supply Chain functions, creating functional strategies and specific objectives and develop budgets/policies and procedures.

· Observe and assess Supply Chain execution processes. Identify areas of opportunities and implement solutions for corrective action in the team.

· Develop collaborative relationships with vendors; to ensure inventory availability and the quality of the products.

· Observe and evaluate competitive opportunities to provide products that satisfy the market needs.

· Provide exceptional leadership to the Supply Chain department.

· Maintain an optimal organizational structure, develop personnel, give direction, integrate resources to achieve the supply chain goals.

· Seek out future potential supply partners who can help our clients advance to the next level with the development of additional product brands.

· Establish supply agreements with all global vendors: purchasing contracts, negotiation of prices, blanket orders, and terms of payment, leaving an open line of communication with supply chain team.

· Continuously develop/enhance supply chain productivity and operational processes. Implement industry-best forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory, and vendor management practices.

· Develop supply chain effectiveness metrics and regularly report on supply chain performance, utilizing the metrics.

· Analyze new and cost-effective purchase opportunities from additional and current vendors.

· As part of the job, the position also requires that you can react productively to changes and handle other tasks as assigned.

Collaborate with other departments to create strategies for the continuing growth of CTP.

Oversee

· Supervise purchasing and development activities.

· Review the status of back orders and any purchase orders that have not been sent or confirmed.

· Review and release purchase orders on hold.

· Ensure the periodic evaluation of suppliers.

· Review and establishment of ideas to incorporate new items to our current stock in collaboration with Marketing, Quality and Sales.

Qualifications

· Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid understanding of the overall departmental function.

· 5+ years of managerial experience.

· Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.

· Interpersonal Skills

· Analytical thinker and problem solver.
