TECHTIP
When replacing a failed hydraulic pump, you must ensure to change out the hydraulic fluid in the system. When a pump fails, the pump introduces contaminants into the hydraulic system. These contaminants must be removed before they damage the new pump or any other hydraulic component in the system. The filter elements must also be replaced when installing a new pump and replaced again after the pumps “break-in period”, thus insuring its lifespan.
