Rebuilding a 1972 CAT® 3306 Diesel – Part I
DieseJL started the long process of rebuilding the 3306 10.5L Straight Six Diesel from our 1972 Caterpillar 977L Track Loader. After getting everything we need for a full out of frame overhaul from Costex Tractor Parts, we dive into this project and find out that we are nowhere near ready to complete this rebuild. Nevertheless, progress is made!

DieseJL continue the long process of rebuilding the 3306 10.5L Straight Six Diesel from our 1972 Caterpillar 977L Track Loader. After getting everything we need for a full out of frame overhaul from Costex Tractor Parts, we complete the major assembly of this engine and even throw on some paint!
