FTZ Import/ Export Coordinator

The Import / Export Coordinator for the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) is responsible for filing admissions, withdrawals, transfers and manipulations, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with FTZ regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit FTZ admissions (e-214).
  • Prepare and submit withdrawals for exportation and IT (QP/WP CBP Forms 7512)
  • Prepare and submit withdrawals for consumption
  • Prepare and submit withdrawals for bonded warehouses and zone to zone transfers
  • Prepare and submit manipulations, destructions, and temporary removals (CBPF 216)
  • Prepare, update, and submit all weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for shipment tracking
  • Maintain proper record keeping required for management of the FTZ
  • Interact with Customs and Border Protection if necessary
  • Routinely update and report to management concerning activities or issues related to the FTZ
  • Coordinate all customs and shipment activities with freight forwarders, and logistics services providers
  • Ensure all Daily Statements and Final Statements are properly submitted and reviewed for payment.
  • Validate commercial documentation against shipment receipts to determine shortage or overage.
  • Utilize company and third-party software to facilitate the clearance and movement of cargo.
  • Keep updated with legislation changes impacting foreign trade zones
  • Other duties as assigned – Depending on the status of ongoing projects and support needed on the different areas of Customs Compliance including but not limited to audits
  • Provide operational support to clients, internal and external.

Qualifications

Knowledge of FTZ regulations and customs compliance.

Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., AS400 or other ERP systems).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

FTZ-related certifications (preferred).

Education (Preferred Level).
